Tame Game. Trivalon is a brand new puzzle game with simple rules and control. It's a wonderful treatment for boredom!
The game field is a tube, on both sides of which there are elements that can be dropped into it. You can drop only one element on one turn. Then the next element takes place of the dropped one and so on. When there is a sequence of three similar elements in the tube, it disappeares adding points to your score. Elements should be dropped from the side, which is marked with a pointer. After each correctly dropped element the 'active' side is changed, but if you drop an element from the 'passive' side you get a penalty point.enalty points are shown at the barrier between the elements and the tube. If there are nine penalty pints at the same side, this side is blocked for four turns. This means that you cannot drop elements from it. The game is over when the tube is filled up with elements.
Game modes
Eternity: you can drop elements in any order. If the tube is filled up with elements, they are removed but you lose 20 points. However, the game continues and it is over only if you start a new game. The score is not added to the High Scores table.
Rest: you can drop elements in any order.
Count: usual rules.
Hurry up: usual rules. Besides there are only 12 seconds for each turn and if this time is up the game is over.
Blitz: usual rules. However, there are only 12 seconds for the game. You get 3 seconds for each turn and 2 additional seconds for each removed sequence of elements. You cannot get more than 12 seconds and if the time is up the game is over.
Scoring
Each sequence of elements disappearing from the tube adds 3 points to your score. However, the higher from the bottom this sequence is, the more points you get. If there is one element under the removed sequence, you get twice more points. If there are two elements you get 3 times more points. If you complete a sequence at the top of the tube you get 7 times more points! If you complete a sequence of bonus elements you get 3 times more points. The bonus element is changed in five turns.
| Installing The Game To Palm OS Devices. |
To install the game to a Palm OS device you should have the program Palm Desktop installed on your computer. You can find this program in the software included with your handheld device. The latest version of the program can also be found here: www.palmone.com. If you have the previous version of the game installed on your handheld device, you do not need to remove it.
Extract the files of the game using the program WinZip™ or another program that supports ZIP format.
Run the program Palm Desktop and press Install button.
Press Add button and add file trivalon.prc.
Press Done button on the setup screen.
Put your device into the HotSync cradle or connect it to the HotSync cable and then press the HotSync button.
Double-clicking on each of the files after extracting will also install them. This will start the installation process automatically including the chosen files.
| Installing And Choosing Skins |
You can change the game field view with the help of the skins listed below. However this feature is available only in the registered version of the game.
To install a skin:
Click on the name of the skin you have chosen to download the skin file to your computer (your computer should be connected to the internet).
Then indicate the folder on your computer where you would like to save the file.
Extract the file using the program WinZip™ or another program that supports ZIP format.
Install the file tr_name_skin.pdb to your Palm OS device similar to installing the game itself. Note that name corresponds to the name of the skin you would like to install.
Run the game on your handheld device.
Choose the line Options in the main menu.
Open the second bookmark - Skin.
Choose the name of the new skin and press 'Tick' button.
Register your demo-version of the game through the internet to receive access to the full version of the game, skins, and technical support.
To register the game you need to pay for the program via PalmGear.
Your registration code will be sent to your e-mail address in several hours (sometimes within 24 hours). If you do not receive it during this period of time, please, contact us via e-mail: support@tamegame.com. When you receive your registration code, run the game, choose the line Registration in the main menu, enter the received code, and press the Registration button. If the code is correct, you will receive a positive response. Now you may use all the new features of the game. You do not need to download the game again.
If an error message appears after entering the code, try entering the code once again.
In case you cannot register your copy of the game using the received registration code, contact us via e-mail: support@tamegame.com. Please, inform us of the received registration code, the HotSync® name and the model of your handheld device. Also let us know if you are using any hacks. Your problem with registration will be solved within two working days.
| Removing The Game From Your Handheld Device |
After you remove the game, the information about registration, current game, and the high scores table will be lost.
Open the Applications menu on your handheld device.
Choose the option App and the line Delete.
In this window choose the line Trivalon and press the Delete… button.
In the next window press Yes.
Not to get penalty points you should drop the elements, which are situated in the following order: two on the 'active' side and at least one on the other.
If the necessary element is on the 'passive' side, you should complete another sequence. After this the necessary side becomes 'active'.
If there are a lot of similar elements and many penalty points on the same side, it is better to get one more penalty point and to block this side.
The following key shortcuts are available during the game:
- Menu button – main menu;
- 'O' – options;
- 'S', Calculator button – statistics menu;
- Backspace – cancel the latest drop;
- 'C' – turn on/off the clock;
- 'B' – turn on/off the battery charge.
Some elements flicker at certain handheld devices.
This problem is caused by a minor defect of the display matrix which cannot be corrected in a program. Flickering of some color shades can be observed in all applications.
While working with the program you may see an error message in case of your incorrect actions. Here you can find the list of the errors and their short description.
System is incompatible. 160X160 and 8 bit per pixel or higher screen resolution is required to run this application. - Sorry, but your Palm OS device is not supported, and you cannot run the program Trivalon.
The file settow.prc is damaged. It should be reinstalled for launching the program. - The file trivalon.prc has been damaged. Copy it to your handheld device once again for solving this problem.
The skin has been damaged or removed and it will be replaced by the standart one. - The file of the skin you have chosen was damaged or removed. To use the skin you should reinstall the file. The standard skin will be used as the default one.
The skin supports the previous version and it will be replaced by the standard one. - the file of the skin you have chosen is for the previous version of the program. To use it, you should install the new version of the skin file. The standard skin will be used as the default one.
Not enough heap memory to launch the program. Stop your hack programs, close network connection and try launching the game again. - the amount of the free heap memory is insufficient for the program. If you use hacks, please, stop them and try to run the game again.
Not enough heap memory. The program cannot be launched on your handheld device. - Sorry, but your handheld device does not have enough heap memory to run the game.
Game settings are damaged and they will be replaced by standart ones. - The game settings file has been damaged and all the options will be set as the default ones. This could have been caused by some hacks or by trying to edit the file. If you have a registered version you will have to enter the registration code again.
