What is MedAlarm?

MedAlarm is a small application that will remind you when to take medications. This is useful if you have to take one or more medications per day or per week. You can set up to 3 alarms per day for each medication.

System Requirements

MedAlarm will run on any Palm OS device running Palm OS 3.0 or higher including Handspring Visor, Visor Deluxe, Sony Clie, etc.
Installation

Install MedAlarm the same way you install all other Palm OS applications. See your Palm OS instruction manual if you have questions.
Operation

  1. Install the application like any other PalmOS application.
  2. Launch it.
  3. Tap New
  4. Select the appropriate options for each medication you take. If you want to remove the second or third alarm time, set the time to be to the same time as the first alarm.
  5. If you need to specify a dosage, enter the information in the Note and it will be displayed with the alarm.
  6. If you are taking a medication for a certain period of time and then want it to be automatically deleted after you are done taking the medication, choose "Automatically delete old meds" from Preferences.

MedAlarm will alert you when it is time to take your medication.

Please note: While MedAlarm has been tested, it is not guaranteed to notify you to take medications and such should not be absolutely relied upon to remind you to take medications that may be life sustaining. MedAlarm should be used as a reminding application only.
Compatibility Notes

MedAlarm is not known to have any problems with any other Palm OS application.

Scott Gruby hereby grants you a license to use the demonstration version of MedAlarm for up to 21 (twenty one) days. After purchasing MedAlarm, you will be granted a license to use the software on as many machines as you purchased licenses for. If, after purchasing the software, you determine that the software does not operate to your satisfaction, Scott Gruby may, at its discretion, refund all or part of the money you paid, but is under no obligation to do so. You are encouraged to make full use of the evaluation before purchasing.

You may not lease, rent, merge, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software. This license is effective until terminated. This license will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any provision of the license. You may also voluntarily terminate this license at any time. Upon termination, you agree to destroy or purge all copies of the software and notify Scott Gruby that you have done so.

MedAlarm is owned by Scott Gruby, and this license only permits you to use it. This license is nontransferable. You are permitted to distribute the software by any electronic means; however, you may not distribute or transfer the license/activation key(s) sent to you when you purchase the software.

If you are interested in distributing a demonstration version or a fully licensed version of this product with another product or place the software on a compact disc or any other physical media, please contact Scott Gruby at questions@notifymail.com.

In the event of a dispute pursuant to this agreement, the laws of the State of California in effect at the time of acceptance of the agreement shall be applied.

Scott Gruby hereby disclaims all warranties relating to MedAlarm, whether express or implied, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Scott Gruby will not be liable for any special, incidental, consequential, indirect or similar damages due to loss of data or any other reason, even if Scott Gruby or his agent has been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall Scott Gruby be liable for any damages, regardless of the form of the claim. The person using the software bears all risk as to the quality and performance of the software. This product should not be used to remind the user of life saving or life sustaining medications. It should be used as an adjunct to any other notification method.
